Municipalities have been evaluating their biosolid management programs and becoming more interested in opportunities in beneficial re-use programs. These programs requires knowing the local market requirements, the value of their potential product and competing products and planning for positive public relations. Often industry thinks “build it and they will come” and that strategy has resulted in roadblocks to success and increased financial burden on Municipalities or their industry partner that is running their biosolids management programs. This webinar will discuss the various programs in Atlantic Canada, provincial and federal regulations and the opportunities and challenges for beneficial re-use programs.
