Biosolids speed up growth of timber in intensive tree farming...

While use of biosolids in silviculture is rare in New England and eastern Canada, in other parts of North America, it is common. Biosolids provide moisture, organic matter, and nutrients, dramatically speeding the growth of trees.  If Class B biosolids are used, a site permit is usually required by the state or province.
